Very large gouache and watercolour - beautiful atmospheric painting by the much loved Derbyshire artist of a Springer Spaniel hunting on a frosty morning in a countryside setting with ducks flying above. In its original frame and mount. A Stunning example of Pollyanna Pickering's work

Artist Pollyanna Pickering was recognised as the most published artist working in Britain, She won over thirty international awards for her artwork, and in 2008 she received an honorary degree from the university of derby in recognition of her achievements. Pollyanna was passionate about wildlife and equally passionate about accurately interpreting her subjects. She was a champion of environmental conservation; both on the national and international stage, and was indefatigable campaigner for the welfare of endangered, sick and vulnerable creatures. She was patron of the born free foundation for many years and has worked on a number of charity fund raising events

Her original paintings also hang in private and corporate collections around the world from Australia to Siberia, gracing the walls of major companies including British Gas and Hoover. Public figures who own paintings include Sheik Mohammed, Virginia McKenna, David Bowie and John Hurt. The art collection of Princess Anne includes a pencil study of a horse presented to her during a ceremony in 1998. Sadly Pollyanna passed away early in 2018 after a short illness
